Canine Boarding

When you're planning your vacation, don't forget to reserve your dog a spot at Camp Mill Pond. While boarding with us, your pet will enjoy compassionate care and attention from our skilled kennel staff. Each day your dog has the option to participate in one of our many doggie play groups which provides daily exercise and socialization so they'll be ready for a good night's sleep. Please refer to the Boarding Information section below for required vaccinations, fees and more.

Feline Boarding

Mill Pond's cattery offers your feline family member a comfortable stay in an environment of continuous human attention each day. Your cat's space and litter pan is refreshed, at a minimum, twice a day so they'll always be happy and clean for the duration of their stay. Feline boarding includes a littler pan, water, bedding, toys and food according to your instructions. For more information, please refer to the Boarding Information section below.

Boarding Information

  • All dogs must be up to date on vaccines when entering Camp Mill Pond which include Rabies and DHPP/DHLPP. Bordetella and Canine Influenza Vaccine are not required but are highly recommended.
  • All cats are also required to be up to date on vaccines to include FVRCP and Rabies prior to their stay.
  • If your pet is on medication we ask that you please bring it in the original bottle or in separate bags labeled for each day and dose.
  • Our boarding fee includes a maintenance diet, however we do recommend that you bring your own food. If you choose to bring your pet's food we ask that you label the container or food bags with your pet's name and daily amounts.
  • Since we supply bedding, toys, and dishes we discourage our customers from bringing their own to prevent personal loss or damage.
  • Part of your dog's day will include outside play time with other boarding dogs. This will depend on each dog's temperament and weather conditions. If your dog is unable to participate in these play groups please inform our kennel staff during drop off.

Doggie Daycare

Canine behaviorists encourage daily exercise and regular socialization for your dog's overall quality of life and improved behavior. At Camp Mill Pond, we understand that you may not always have the time to exercise your dog and that's why we offer Doggie Daycare. When your dog spends the day with us, you can bet that they'll receive an abundance of physical and mental stimulation in a play group that fits their individual size and temperament. Our daycare staff will supervise and facilitate play in our gravel and large grass fields so rest time can be more enjoyable.

If you're interested in bringing your dog to daycare, feel free to call and make a reservation or ask any questions you may have. Our daycare is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and you can choose between a half day or full day to best suit your needs. Our half days, which are up to five hours, are $10 while our full days, anything over five hours, are $18. Please ensure that your dog is up to date on their DHPP/DHLPP and Rabies vaccinations prior to attending daycare.

Canine Training

We believe all training should be built around a healthy relationship with your pet. Your dog needs to trust, respect, and love you in order for training to be successful. We won’t force your dog to listen to you, we’ll teach you to train your dog so they’ll want to listen to you!

Our trainers will formulate a program that will provide you and your dog with a system that will attend to your unique needs in order to achieve success. The training program will consist of methods that involve the least amount of conflict but at the same time accomplish the goals that are set. Not only will your dog learn basic obedience behaviors, but we will challenge your dogs with distance, duration and distraction. This will generalize each behavior to a multitude of real life circumstances and enhance your abilities as a pet dog handler.

From group classes that include Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience and Intermediate Obedience, to private lessons that address specific issues, our trainers are dedicated to improving your human/canine relationship! Call today for more information on class schedules and pricing.
